Bluetiger FAQs

A: Generally, we can start defining your project within 2 - 3 days after you contact us. Once we've clearly defined your project goals and service needs, and a price has been agreed upon, we'll roll up our sleeves and get to work.

A: The first step is to talk to us about your idea. You can use our contact form or just call us directly at 303-819-0595. We'll listen to you, discuss your timeline and budget, and determine whether Bluetiger is a good match for your project. (If not, we can refer you to other qualified individuals and/or companies.)

Next, we define the project. We'll work with you to determine business requirements, technical requirements, site design and functionality, and any other areas of expertise you may need, including graphic design, programming, and copy writing. In some cases - such as large applications that would require us to create a specification in order to define the project - we will require a small retainer before we can make a formal bid (in such cases, you would own the specification and be free to take it to other companies to get bids).

Once we've sufficiently defined the project, we'll furnish you with a price bid and an estimated delivery date. Depending on the size of your project, a partial payment may be required before we begin work. Upon acceptance of our bid (and payment of deposit, if required) we'll put our resources in place and get started.

A: We understand you're concerned about IT costs. To allow you to manage your budget and avoid surprises, we usually bid on a per-project basis, rather than charging an hourly fee. For well-defined projects, we'll give you a firm bid to consider before hiring us. If, however, you prefer to hire us on an hourly basis for advice or ongoing work, that's fine too. Our hourly rates vary depending on the kind of services you need - just let us know what you are looking for.

You'll find that Bluetiger's project bids are very competitive against both domestic and offshore companies. Many offshore companies have significantly lower hourly rates, but higher overall project bids - not to mention a language barrier and time difference.

A: Your web site can be hosted wherever you like. If you want to stick with Bluetiger, we can arrange for one of our hosting affiliates to handle your site. If you just need some direction, and prefer to shop around a bit, we're more than happy to provide recommendations for outside hosting companies.
